Well, what happens is when I try to do a PERFECT job, I end up spending a lot of time lining up  boards to the millimeter only to cover them up with plywood. Or I measure out screw holes to be exactly spaced apart and spend a lot of time doing it when I could’ve put the stupid screws in and moved on already.

No, “good enough” is good enough. I want to strive for perfection, but be happy with mediocre results, because the goal is to build the house, not build the perfectly-built house (which will never be built).
